RAIA: Arlem Youth Association defeated Margao SC 4-3 via the tie-breaker to enter the quarter-finals of the Mandopa soccer inter-village football tournament, at Mandopa ground, Navelim, on Thursday.
Elroy Barreto of Margao SC and Alton Cardozo of Arlem YA missed scoring chances in the first session of play. It was Rio Borges who gave lead to Arlem YA in the seventh minute. Later, Michael Dias equalised for Margao SC. In the ensuing tie breaker, Joswell Cardozo, Garrison Fernandes, Klins Mendes and Mouvin Gauncar netted for Arlem YA while Roque Borges, Charles Miranda and Myron Fernandes were the target for Margao SC.
