CALANGUTE: Holiday Club Arpora prevailed over Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club 3-2 via the tie-breaker after both failed to score at full time in Goviea Super Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Candolim Sports Club at Dr. Gustavo Monteiro Stadium, Candolim, Monday.
Arpora enjoyed a slight edge over Vagator and came close to scoring on a couple of occasions but their forwards either failed to find the net or the rival keeper came to his side’s rescue.
Lawrence Rodrigues, Saish Palyekar and Gaurish Naik converted for Arpora while Uday Gadekar and Jesmond Carvalho were on target for Vagator.
