Ashlon helps SJ Areal to beat St Sebastian

MARGAO, OCT 5 A fine brace by Ashlon Oliveira helped Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club to thump St Sebastian Club, Aquem 8-0 in GFA Third Division League at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal on Tuesday. Sao Jose de Areal were leading 3-0 at half time.

A fine brace by Ashlon Oliveira helped Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club to thump St Sebastian Club, Aquem 8-0 in GFA Third Division League at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal on Tuesday. Sao Jose de Areal were leading 3-0 at half time.
Sao Jose went into the lead in the 12th minute when striker Nazari Harijan’s snap shot beat the rival goalkeeper hands down. Eight minutes later, Franky Valadares doubled the lead.
Sao Jose were more aggressive in their approach repeatedly raiding the rival citadel. Alleulia Fernandes increased their tally in the 30th minute with a stiff grounder.
Crossing over, it was a one-way traffic for Sao Jose Areal as they attacked the rival citadel from both flanks.
St. Sebastian were a disjointed lot after change of ends and were struggling to cope up as they seldom troubled the rival defence. Ossie Endro made it 4-0 in the 70th minute. Then it was the turn of Ashlon Oliveira who struck a brace in the 79th and 85th minutes. Olfie added his name on the scorers list in the 86th minute. Polly Valadares rounded off the tally in the 87th. 
At Dramapur ground, Dramapur Sports Club swamped Dicarpale Sports Club 3-0. Dramapur led 2-0 at the lemon break.
Dramapur enjoyed total domination over their opponents and rocked the rival citadel in the 10th minute when Royston Fernandes fired home from close range.
Dramapur piled on the pressure and created umpteen forays into the rival territory and were rewarded when Cedric Fernandes slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a rasping drive that gave no chance to the rival keeper.
After resumptionCedric Fernandes recorded his brace in the 78th minute.
At St John Baptist ground, Dando, Benaulim, United Club of Seraulim trounced St Sebastian Youth Club, Fatorda 4-1. The winners were leading 2-1 at half time. Seraulim’s  persistent raids fetched the dividends in the 3rd minute when Gladson Fernandes punished the rival keeper with a deft placement. Gladson Fernandes struck a brace in the 24th minute when he unleashed a snap shot which caught the rival keeper on the wrong foot.
St Sebastian succeeded in reducing the margin through Allister Fernandes.
After the interval, Seraulim’s Joanes Gracias inflated their tally in the 55th minute with a volley and Inacio Afonso rounded off the tally in the 80th minute.
