Audi brothers put up fine show

PANJIM: Audi Ameya displayed fine skill and consistency in the just concluded Chess Club Live Fide Rating Open tournament, held at Vadodara, Gujarat, recently.

Ameya won against Vijay Anand and Saranya Y of Tamil Nadu and drew against Raja Harshit (2120) of Delhi and A L Muthaih (2215) of Tamil Nadu. Ameya won six and drew three to tally 7.5 points out of 10 rounds. He emerged joint third and was awarded the third place as Best Player Under 2000 Elo’s. Ameya will gain 56 Elo’s from his performance. Ameya is a student of RMS College, Margao.
Meanwhile, 13-year-old Saiesh Audi won six points out of 10 rounds and was awarded the sixth place as Best player under 1600 ELo’s.
Saiesh won against Vijay Anand of Tamil Nadu, Sadbhav Rautela (Uttarakhand), Bhavsar Rachay (Ahmedabad), Joshi Sagar, Arav Lakahani and Upadhyay Prince. Saiesh will gain 31 Elo’s from his performance. Saiesh is a student of Vidya Vikas Academy, Margao.
