Leran nets hat-trick in Maina SC’s win; USC Seraulim edge past UC Seraulim

MAPUSA/RAIA: BAFF Sports Club had an easy outing as they drubbed Kelbai SC 5-2 in the GFA’s Third Division League Bardez Zone match played at Kelbai ground, Mayem, on Thursday

BAFF SC sat comfortable with four goals cushion in the first session with Pratik Triodkar (1), Dnyaneshwar Pednekar (2), Yash Volvoikar (1) scoring.

On crossing over, Rama Parwar netted the fifth goal for the winners. However, never say die spirit saw Kelbai score two late goals in the 73rd and 87th minutes through Gopal Gaddi and Shahil Arondekar.

At Moira ground, St Sebastian SC registered a 3-1 win over Sesa FA –Development Squad. Anford Fernandes, Pranav Shetgaonkar and Sahil Jalmi scored for the winners, all in the first session of play. On crossing ends, Avito Fernandes scored for the Sesa FA lads.

At Poriat ground, Saligao United SC thrashed Nerul SC by 6-0 margin. Saligao United colts that almost made it to the Second Division League last season came strongly into today’s encounter and pumped in three goals in each session of play.

Gautam Goankar (2), Francisco Fernandes (2), Brendon Menezes and Sanju Kerteeta scored for the winners.

At Vagator PYSC ground, Xetrapal SC managed to edge past Peddem Bomm SC by 2-1 margin.

Both the teams played almost on equal footing in the first session only to find Umesh Mainkar put Peddem Bomm ahead in the 50th minute of play.

However, just three minutes later, Chandrakant Shirodkar levelled terms for Xetrapal 1-1. Sagun Chodkankar scored the match winning goal for Xetrapal.

At Chandor ground, Maina SC defeated Uguem Rising 5-3 to register win. Leran Dias scored a hat-trick while Caetano Viegas and Velroy Paes scored a goal each for Maina SC. 

Selvito Pereira netted hat-trick for Uguem Rising.

At Dando ground, Benaulim, USC Seraulim defeated UC Seraulim by 4-1 goals. Keith Rodrigues scored a brace while Aiden Fernandes and Klinsmann Vaz netted a goal each for USC Seraulim. The only goal for UC Seraulim was netted by Rangel Fernandes.
