Schubert emerges winner
MAPUSA: Schubert Mario D’Costa, from Marina English HS, Verna emerged winner of Bajaj Allianz city finale (Goa edition) of Asia leg of junior football camp at GFA Duler Stadium, here.
Schubert will have the opportunity to participate in the international football camp conducted by FC Bayern Munich, in association with Allianz, in Thailand.

The city finale saw participation from over 100 shortlisted students, who were selected on the basis of their football skills earlier this month. They were judged by a panel of judges headed by Brahmanand Sankhwalkar.
More than 600 students from 40 schools and football clubs in Goa have been screened as part of this activity. Schubert will join six other boys from other locations of Jallandhar, Dehradun, Siliguri, Durgapur, Chennai and Bangalore, where selection trials are underway for the Asia Junior Football Camp.
Schubert was felicitated by Brahmanand Sankhwalkar, Dr Rufino Monteiro, chairman Goa Football Development Council and Manmesh Kalangutkar, senior divisional manager, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance.
