MATHOL-VERNA: Bamborda blanked Murgropoi 2-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the Lazaro D’Silva and Cajie Fernandes Memorial inter-ward football tournament organised by Mathol FC played at Mathol Verna on Monday.
Bamborda netted a goal each through Shelton Pereira and Clive Fernandes in the 12th and 16th minute of the first half.
Mugurpoi tried to score but the defence wall of Bamborda stood well and restricted the Mugrupoi strikers from scoring any goals.
