The Bangladesh High Court has questioned the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s handling of player safety, particularly in matters related to sexual harassment. On Monday, the court issued a rule asking why the failure of the BCB and relevant authorities to ensure a safe and gender-sensitive environment should not be declared unlawful and against public interest. According to local media reports, the court also directed the board to immediately implement its anti-sexual harassment policy in line with earlier judicial guidelines. The BCB has been instructed to submit a detailed report outlining steps taken to enforce the policy until the case is resolved.
