SANGOLDA: Bardez Veterans defeated Ponda Veterans 7-0, in the Monte de Guirim Platinum Jubilee Veterans football tournament, at Sangolda Panchayat ground, on Saturday.
Medio Alexander Fernandes and Alwyn D Souza netted a brace while Pascoal Pereira, Bruno Coutinho.
In the dying minutes of the match, Ralf Fernandes converted a penalty to give Bardez a facile 7-0 win. Alexander was awarded the man-of-the-match.
Bardez now await the winners of the Vasco Veterans and Chinchinim Veterans in the semi-final.
