MAPUSA: Bengal Cricket Association are on level terms in reply to Goa’s 273 score in the first innings on the second day of Karnataka State Cricket Association’s (KSCA) Test tournament, at Alur ground, Bengaluru, on Monday.
Goa resumed with overnight score of 231/8, adding 42 runs before being fumbled out. Most of the runs came from Sunday’s star performer Rahul Keni, who managed to score 93 runs of 203 balls, including nine boundaries but missing a century by seven runs.
In reply, Bengal Cricket Association are on level terms at the fall of stumps on the second day, losing five wickets in 76 overs played.
Anshtup Mazumdar (85) and Subhajit Banerjee (86) frustrated the Goan bowling attack in a 168-run partnership for the fourth wicket before the former was stumped out and the latter caught by Rahul Keni off the bowling of Amit Yadav, who picked up three wickets. Darshal Misal got the other two wickets.
