Betalbatim in Fraxier semis

Betalbatim Sporting Club beat Navelim Sporting Club 4-2 via the tie-breaker to storm into the semi-finals of 25th Fraxier inter- village football tournament organised by Young Strikers, Benaulim at St John Baptist ground, Dando-Benaulim on Saturday.
Betalbatim nearly found the match-winner but striker Olwick Fernandes was the worst offender as he shot wide from hand shaking distance.
Betalbatim emerged victorious in the tie-beraker, scoring through Desmond Fernandes, Cajie D’Costa, Luis Rogtao and Dickson Rogtao while Sanford Cardozo and Jaison Pereira converted for Navelim.
Richard Costa and Joseph Dias tries were blocked by Desmond Fernandes.
