There was no score at half time.
Betalbatim SC held the edge in the opening session with quick short passes. They put their rivals under pressure as Inacio Afonso’s rasping shot hit the goalpost and went out of play. Klinsman Pereira came up with the assist in the 23rd minute.
Six minutes later, Fr Agnel Youth Club came close to scoring as Manish Oliveira collected the ball from Anthony Dias but however, shot straight into the hands of the rival custodian.
Crossing over, the teams tried to score but their defences lines were active. In the 40th minute, Manish Oliviera came up with a promising move but his effort was foiled by the defence of Betalbatim SC.
Thereafter, Betalbatim SC’s Kingslee Fernandes had a go from 30-yards out but it did not materialize.
In the ensuing penalty shoot-out, Betalbatim SC held their nerves and scored through Inacio Afonso, Kingslee Pereira, Klinsman Pereira and Kingslee Fernandes while Pascoal Fernandes, Manish Oliveira and Anthony Dias scored for Fr Agnel Youth Club.
