Defending I-League champs, Dempo Sports Club’s Brazilian playmaker Roberto Mendes da Silva alias Beto attended practice sessions at Goa University ground on Thursday morning, after missing the Super Cup at Gurgaon and two I-League matches against Churchill Brothers and East Bengal.
 Dempo have refused to issue him a no-objection certificate for leaving the club, stating that he needs to honour the contract. The management claimed that it is not fair to leave the club at the beginning of the I-League.
