Bhakti keeps hope alive

PANJIM: IM Sagar Shah of Maharashtra, IM Narayanan Srinath of Tamil Nadu, IM Swayams Mishra of Orissa and FM Joydeep Datta of Railways shared the lead with five points each in the first Deltin all India open rapid chess tournament organised by Chanakya Ches Club in affiliation with Tiswadi Taluka Chess Association under the aegis of Goa Chess Association, which commenced, at Community Hall, Mala, here, on Saturday.
IM Swapnil Dhopade of Railways, IM S. Nitin of Tamil Nadu, IM Sameer Kathamale and Chinmay Kulkarni both from Maharashtra all finished second with 4.5points. Among the Goan players, WGM Bhakti Kulkarni, Niraj Saripalli, Aditee Prabhugaonkar and Om Barde settled on four points each. 
The players will now battle it out in the remaining five rounds on Sunday for the title.
