MARGAO: Bhatikar Model HS registered a massive 143-run win over Sarvodaya HS to enter the final of Goa Cricket Association U-16 tournament, held at MCC ground, Margao, on Friday.
Electing to bat first, Omkar Deshbhandari scored a century (106) to guide Bhatikar Model to a mammoth 232 runs for the loss of just two wickets.
Digesh Raiker (64) and Ganesh T (46) were the other top scorers for the winners.
In reply, a brilliant bowling display by Sheel Pai Angle (4/29) and Anish Madolkar (3/15) helped Bhatikar bundle out Sarvodaya HS for 89 in 17 overs.
Tushar Kudnekar (1/11) and Dhruv Lolyekar (1/4) were the other wicket takers.
While for Sarvodaya, Aniket (18), Anish (25) and Deepak Patil (16) were the only three batsmen to reach the double figure.
