Bidesh XI enter final

MAPUSA: Bidesh XI Sports Club registered a comfortable 5-2 win over YSC Colvale in the GFA’s 3rd Division Play-off semi-finals to enter the final played at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Thursday.
Bidesh colts were indeed the better side and did not give their opponents any open space to operate and stopped their winning run of the league.
The winners went into the breather with a one goal lead which came in the second minute as Chandan Govekar controlled a through pass from Gaurav and moving inside the 18-yard box scored with a neat placement, 1-0.
After Bidesh colts Gaurav missed an open sitter in the 33rd minute. YSC Colvale missed a glorious chance to level terms where a shot on the run by Nehal Parsekar was brilliantly saved by Bidesh keeper Ritesh Narvekar.
On crossing over Bidesh scored four goals in the next 25 minutes of the match.
In the 49th minute Saish Kavlekar getting hold of a through pass by Malik Mulla connected the ball to the top corner of the goal, 2-0.
Bidesh netted their third in the 66th minute where Dnyaneshwar Pednekar scored from a goalmouth melee, 3-0. The next two goals were scored by Chandar Govekar who scored in the 69th and 80th minute to complete his hat-trick, 5-0.
There was a sudden twist in the match with YSC Colvale pulling two goals in the last five minutes of the regulation time. It was Nehal Parsekar and Anjord who did the scoring act to round of the score tally to 5-2.
