MAPUSA/RAIA: Saligao United SC had another easy 5-1 win over Badem United SC in the GFA’s Third Division League Bardez Zone, played at Duler Stadium, here, on Thursday.
Saligao United netted through Charnel Fernandes, Paulo Joao, Bhavesh Pereira, Pavan Devsekar and Sahil Morajkar. Aditya Talwar pulled a goal in the 93rd minute for Badem United colts.
At Kelbai ground, Mayem, BAFF also had an easy run as they registered a fluent 3-1 win over Sirsaim S & WC. BAFF went into the breather with a one goal cushion which came from the boots of Yash Volvoikar.
In the 67th minute of play, Aman Kambli netted the equaliser for Sirsaim SWC, 1-1. However, BAFF pumped in two quick goals through Mhabaleshwar Thanekar (76th minute) and Chandan Govenkar (79th minute) to collect full three points.
At Moira ground, Super Goans FC drubbed Cunchelim SC by 6-0 margin. Dalesh Pednekar netted four goals while Nathan D’Souza and Videsh Sawant added their names to the scorers list.
At the start of the second session, the match was called off by Referee Sunil Nanodkar as Cunchelim had just six players on the field.
At Vagator PYSC ground, Peddem Bomm SC managed to edge past Sai Avtar SC, Anjuna, by 3-2 margin. Taniel Pereira, Umesh Mainkar and Kreepal Dhargalkar scored for Peddem Bomm SC colts while Dadapir Adeer netted a brace for Sai Avtar.
Salcete Zone: At Dando ground, Benaulim, St Anthony SC, Colva, edged past Dando Boys Club, Benaulim, 3-2. Shawn Thattazhi, Jose Fernandes and Vicky Cardozo scored for St Anthony while Aditya Patil and Shahbaaz Shaikh netted a goal each for Dando Boys.
At Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda, South Goa United Club drubbed Arlem YC 9-0. Silvano Oliveira, Gaurav Bhandari, Ashwin Kamat and Felix Varghese netted a brace each while Velito Rocha was the other scorer for South Goa UC.
