Boom Boom, Vailankanni Boys make semi-final grade

PANJIM: Boom Boom Boys eased their way into the semi-finals following their 7-3 win over Fr Agnel Pilar in the M7-Spartacus King of the Week Futsal Tournament, organised by M7FC at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim on Sunday.
Boom Boom Boys got off to flying start as they showed their attacking intent in the first minute itself and scored the goal within a minute through Devendra.
Devendra’s individual brilliance took his side 2-0 up in the game in the fourth minute. 
However, it wasn’t over, as Boom Boom kept their attacking intent and scored the third through Salu Santos as he slammed a brilliant half volley. 
The midfielder took charge and completed his brace in style just before the break to give his side a well-deserved four-lead.
Crossing ends, Fr Agnel came back strongly and pulled two goals back through Paulo and Fredson. However, their efforts to make a comeback were marred by Devendra’s strike who completed his treble highlighting his dominating play.
Minutes later, Rudraksh netted a brace in span of three minutes to take the tally to 7-2. Fr Agnel pulled another late goal through Frdeson to make it 3-7.
In another match, Vailankanni Boys Merces scored a fluent 4-1 win over Simon Stones.
Vailankanni Boys led 1-0 at break after Joel gave his side a first half lead.
Crossing over, Simon Stones tried their luck but their foreign players failed to keep their composure in front of the rival goal. However, Saul levelled terms with a neat finish. However, the Merces side came back strongly and scored three quick goals through Elton, Domnic and Krishna.
