PANJIM: The Government High School, Alto-Betim Boxing Centre was inaugurated by MLA Rohan Khaunte, who is also the President of Goa Boxing Association, recently.
The centre has 35 boxers who will be competing for the first time in the inter-school tournament.
The support from the school management, especially Headmistress Anjali Malik and PE teacher Macline Fernandes has been overwhelming.
Also present for the launch was Headmistress of the school Anjali Malik; Clyde Lobo, Secretary of GBA; Lenny Da Gama, vice-president of GBA; Chittambaram Naik, SAG coach; Juliana Colaco, assistant director DSYA; PE teacher Macline Fernandes, students and other dignitaries.
