KIRBHAT-NUVEM: CAC Cansaulim got the better of Parish Youth Nuvem 4-2 to enter into the quarter-finals of the Parish Youth Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Parish Youth Nuvem, at Jesus Mary and Joseph Nuvem Church ground, on Monday.
The first best chance fell to Nuvem’s Myron Borges but the latter’s shot hit the upright of Cansaulim and went out of play in the second minute.
A minute later, Cansaulim’s Domnic Soares dribbled past Niclau Colaco and shot from close range but Nuvem keeper Shawn Rodrigues saved it.
It was Francis Colaco who netted the opener for Nuvem in the fifth minute. Cansaulim levelled the score-line through Chadwick Furtado in the ninth minute.
Three minutes later, Chadwick doubled the lead for Cansaulim.
After six minutes, Melburn Melcon netted the third for Cansaulim.
Aaron netted the fourth for Cansaulim in the 52nd minute. With just ten minutes remaining for final whistle, substitute Sanford Colaco made it 2-4 for Nuvem.
