PANJIM: Calapur XI defeated Mahalaximi Cricket Club by 6 wickets in the 2nd All-Goa Panchayat level T-20 cricket tournament organised by Betim United, at Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) ground, Campal-Panjim, on Thursday.
Mahalaximi elected to bat and scored 135 losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. With Gaurav Naik scoring 58 runs for the team.
Calapur XI scored 138 for 4 with the help of Shitej Vernekar (49) and J Mudras (48). Shitej was later adjudged the man-of-the-match.
In another match, Girim Panchayat defeated Mencurem XI by 8 wickets. Batting first, Mencurem XI scored 115 for 9 in 20 overs.
Guirim Panchayat scored 116 for the loss of 2 wickets. Gaurish Mandrekar of Guirim Panchayat who scored 63 runs was adjudged the man-of-the-match.
