PANJIM: Candolim Sports Club defeated Penha de France Sports Club, 4-0 in the U-14 league organised by Goa Football Association played at Candolim ground on Saturday.
Aryan Salenkar opened the scoring for the Candolim club in the 12th minute of the game while Vzair Khan added another in the 29th minute.
Moving over, Aaron Rodrigues netted a brace by scoring in the 43rd and 70th minute to take the final score to 4-0.
In another match, Salgaocar FC beat Bogamlo Sports Club by a similar scoreline, at Chicalim ground. Sidmay Lineas scored a brace while Noel Luis and Belam Dias scored one each to help the green brigade take home all points.
At Artificial Turf, Fatorda, Baina Sports Club beat C.A.C Cansaulim 3-1. Jagdish Chawan scored a hat-trick for the Baina team while Eldrige Fernandes scored the lone goal for the losing team.
In a game played at Ambelim ground, Ave Maria AWC beat Parish Youth, Nuvem 2-0. Mohammed Manson scored a brace for the winners in the second half after both teams were goalless in the first half of play.
Elsewhere, Pax of Nagoa S.C beat Benfica Youth Club 3-0, at Nagoa ground. Yash Naik, Dipak Ghose and Marvin Rebello scored for the home team.
At Betalbatim ground, Cortalim Gymkhana got the better of the home team Betalbatim SC, 2-0. Rohan Payeng scored in the 35th and 67th minute of the game for the winners.
Elsewhere at Siolim church ground, St Anthony’s Sports Club Marna defeated El Shaddai SCC 5-3.
Hrishikesh Shirodkar opened the scoring for St Anthony’s SC in the 21st minute. However, El Shaddai’s Topon Mirj equalised in the 28th minute. Post resumption, the Marna side took the lead again through Hrishikesh Shirodkar in the 39th minute and scored twice again through Akshay Mandrekar in the 41st and 43rd minute before El Shaddai’s Hrithik Kamble pulled a goal back in the 48th minute to keep his side in the game.
However, Hrishikesh Shirodkar scored once again for his side. Topon Mirj scored for El Shaddai in the injury time.
