ORLIM: Carmona Veterans edged past Candolim Veterans 2-1 and moved to the quarterfinals of the St. Michael Veterans Cup football tournament, organised by St. Michael Boys, at Orlim church ground, on Wednesday.

In the second half, Elly Pereira opened the account for Carmona in the 48th minute. Ten minutes later, Raju made it 2-0 for Carmona. In the closing minutes, Candolim pulled a goal back.
