MAPUSA: Carmona Sports Club knocked out Milagres Sports Club, Mapusa 3-1 to enter the semi-finals of 2nd Goan Heritage Rolling football trophy organized by Calangute Association, at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Thursday.
The teams were locked 1-1 at half time.
Carmona took the lead in the very second minute through a stunning free-kick by Neil D’Cruz but Kashinath Usgaonkar equalized for Milagres before the break.
In the second session, Carmona dominated the proceedings and Raju Cardozo unleashed a venomous 35-yarder for the second goal in the 45th minute. Subsequently, Alex Rodrigues sealed victory with a simple tap in from close range.
