Navelim Sporting hold Enfermos

Carmona Sports Club came from behind to defeat St Sebastian Sports Club 2-1 in the GFA Third Division league at St John Baptist ground, Dando, Benaulim on Wednesday. The teams were tied 1-1 at the break.
St Sebastian stunned Carmona in the 4th minute when Joaquim Fernandes’ superb strike crashed into the net.
Stunned by the early setback, Carmona regrouped quickly and took the fight instantly to the rival camp and found success in the 19th minute when Solomon Fernandes put his team on level terms.
After the beak, the teams showed urgency in their approach work and called the shots, but it was Carmona who made last ditch efforts which bore fruits when Columban Noronha bulged the net to troop put worthy winners in the 57th minute.
With this win, Carmona Sports Club and Orlim Sports Club qualified for the play-off.
At Sinquetim ground, Navelim, Navelim Sporting Club and Enfermos Sports Club were involved in a 2-2 draw. Clinton Niasso put Navelim into the lead in the 7th minute. But their joy was shortlived when Joaquim Fernandes cancelled it in the 14th minute.
Mohammed made it 2-1 in favour of Navelim in the 39th minute while Jovito M restored parity for Enfermos in the 54th minute.
