SAO JOSE DE AREAL: Chandor Sports Club defeated Tilamol United 2-1 to book their place in the semi-finals of the 36th Areal Panchayat inter-village football tournament, organised by Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club and played at Padribhat ground, on Wednesday.
Chandor SC started the match on the front foot and made regular inroads in the rival territory and managed to take an early lead in the 13th minute.
Lino D’Sa gave his side the deserved lead with a sublime finish.
The winners led 1-0 at the break.
Crossing ends, Lino doubled the lead for Chandor Club in the 50th minute. Five minutes later Melwin Carvalho reduced the margin for Tilamol United.
