RAIA: Chandrawaddo Boy’s, Fatorda got the better of Savio 8, Curtorim, 7-6, via the tie-breaker and moved into the quarterfinals of 17th All-Goa Rebello Pandal open football tournament, organised by Rebello Pandal, Maina and played at St Rita Church ground, Maina-Curtorim, on Tuesday.
Savio 8 dominated the first session of play and scored two goals in 18th and 25th minute of the game through Milton Fernandes and Meliston Fernandes while Fatorda’s Hanshlum Furtado header hit the goalpost and went out of play before half time. Changing over, Chandrawaddo Boy’s regrouped and attacked Curtorim defence and scored three goals in 40th, 45th and 48th minute through Hanshlum Furtado brace and a goal through Francisco Andrade while Savio 8 equalised in dying minutes of the game through Floyd Fernandes.

In resultant tie-breaker Savio 8 scored through Anslem and Garry Fernandes while Chandrawaddo found the net through Hanshlum Furtado, Francisco Andrade, Cliff Barreto and Rahul.
Anslem Fernandes goalkeeper of Savio 8 was adjudged man-of-the-match from Florian D’Mello.
