CALANGUTE: Host Chapora Yuvak Sangh prevailed over Arpora Sporting Club 7-6 via tie-breaker after being held to a goalless draw to move into the semi-finals of 10th Anjuna-Caisua Village Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament, at Chapora ground, on Sunday.
As both the teams failed to open an account at the end of regulation time, the winners were decided on penalties.
Rohan Kambli, Akshay Dabholkar, Akshay Vengurlekar, Samir Govekar, Nilesh Salgaonkar, Desmond Carvalho and Joao Pinto converted for Chapora Yuvak Sangh while Lawrence Rodrigues, Gauresh Naik, Punaji Kalangutkar, Siddesh Naik, Stanley Coutinho and Amir Salgaonkar found the net for Arpora Sporting Club.
