MAPUSA: Host Chapora Yukh Sangh trounced Penha de France 5-1 and moved ahead into the quarters of the W Hotels Soccer Cup organised by Chapora Yukh Sangh, played at Chapora grounds, on Sunday.
At the breather, Chapora led by two goals.
In the 19th minute Abhishek Tuyekar scored with a neat placement shot while in the 33rd minute Pawan Dhargalkar extended the lead from outside the penalty box to make it 2-0.
On crossing ends, Chapora pinned their opponents in their own territory and pumped in three more goals through Rohit Kamble, Akshay Dhabolkar and Navin Shirodkar.
Penha de France tried their best to get back int the game but their strikers lacked sharpness.
However, the Penha de France players managed to pull a consolation goal through Raju who scored from the penalty spot to make it 5-1.
