Goa bow out with 2-2 draw to Chandigarh; Mizoram hit 16 past Rajasthan

BENAULIM/MAPUSA: Goa played out a 2-2 draw against Chandigarh in the All India Football Federation Junior Girls National Football Championship, organised by Goa Football Association (GFA),  at Holy Trinity ground, Benaulim, on Saturday.
Goa almost tasted their first win in the tournament after striker Karishma Shirvoikar scored a brace to hand Goa a 2-0 first half lead but Chandigarh scored late goals to draw level.
Thus, Goa ended their campaign with just a point from two matches and bowed out.
Meanwhile, Mizoram registered a 16-0 win over Rajasthan.
Lalnun Siami scored four goals while Lalbiak Diki and Lal Rinzuali scored a fine hat-trick for the winners. Lalhlupuhi Varte scored a brace and Lalthan, Grace, Zairemmawh, and Vanlal were the other scorers for the winners.
In the other match held at Duler Stadium, Mpausa, Arunachal Pradesh had an easy outing as they trounced Andhra Pradesh 6-0.
Arunachal’s Bengia outside the penalty box in the 12th minute. Kai Rumi netted her hat-trick by scoring in the 21st, 40th and 46th minutes. 
Sardum Ligu (58th minute) and Kai Rumi (59th minute) pumped in two more goals to complete the 6-0 route.  
In the morning match, Uttar Pradesh hit seven past Pondicherry.
