CAVELOSSIM: Chinchinim Veterans beat Candolim Veterans by a solitary goal to move into the quarter-finals of the Joseph Alves Gomes Memorial Veterans tournament, at Father Drustian Wellington ground, Cavelossim, on Monday.
The breakthrough came for Chinchinim in the fourth minute after a clever long range shot finish from Urbano Fernandes.
After the lemon break, Candolim tried hard to find the eequaliser but were not able to break the Chinchinim defence.
