John Leitao of Chinchinim missed two sitters in the 12th and 16th minute while Yuri and Mahesh Lotlikar’s efforts came off the post in the 23rd and 26th respectively.
At the other end, Fatorda’s Agnelo Araujo header missed Chinchinim’s net in the 40th minute.
Minutes later, Fatorda’s Francis Colaco’s long range effort was brilliantly saved by rival keeper.
There were no scores in the regulation time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Mahesh Lotlikar, John Leitao, Liberio Menezes,Yuri Ferrao and Sany Costa scored for Chinchinim Veterans while Agnelo Araujo, Raymond D’Souza and Caitan D’Mello netted for Fatorda.
Chinchinim veterans will meet the winners of Vasco Veterans and Sun Moon Stars Veterans Chandor in the quarter-final on October 26.
