Chinchinim made a perfect start and silenced the home crowd within 5 minutes as speedy striker Sunny Simoes burst with speed on the left flank picking a floated pass of Vesllyn Conceicao and after entering the area slot the ball past on rushing rival goalkeeper Hubert Rodrigues.
Down by a goal UC Benaulim fought back but Joel Fernandes acrobatic effort was collected by Chinchinim goalkeeper David Rebello and soon after the goalkeeper came to his team rescue by stretching his leg to block a Leslie Fernandes effort.
Despite the dominance of UC Benaulim it was Chinchinim who doubled the lead through Sunny Simoes who again exploited the slack marking of UC Benaulim defenders to slam the ball home just before the Lemon break.
Post resumption, UC Benaulim flared back on the ground in full form trying to find the equaliser.
Soon enough wing back Milred Rebello was at the right spot to pick up a loose ball 20 yards out to unleash a right footer which crashed into the nylon giving some hope for his team.
UC Benaulim continued their attacking display but were seems to be unlucky when striker Cannut Fernandes and Faizal Bepari shot hit the upright in quick succession.
UC Benaulim finally got the much needed equalizer ten minutes before the close when striker Cannut Fernandes right footer shot slipped out of the grasp of rival goalkeeper David Rebello and the onrushing Raju Chalvadi did the rest of tapping the ball into the nylons.
In the ensuing tie-breaker Chicnhinim were successful through Sunny Simoes, Vincy Rebello, Ancel Mascarenhas and Vicky Fernandes while only Bipin Malik and Faizal Bepari netted for UC Benaulim.
