PANJIM: Churchill Brothers today announced the re-signing of Nigerian striker, Odafa Okalie on a three year deal.
Club Owner, Churchill Alemao welcomed him back after he ended his three year stint with Kolkata’s Mohun Bagan.
Odafa Okolie had previously joined the Red Machines in the 2005-06 season and scored over 100 goals for the club before departing for Mohun Bagan at the end of the 2010-11 season.
Odafa captained Churchill Brothers Goa to their first I-League triumph in the 2008-09 season while also winning the Durand Cup twice during his previous stint at the Goan Club.
Odafa, fondly known has the ‘Goal Machine’ by his fans, has been the I-League’s top scorer on three consecutive occasions.
