DRAMAPUR: Churchill Brothers scored a resounding 9-0 win over Navelim Villagers Union in the GFA’s U-14 play-offs of the Salcete Zone at the Dramapur ground, on Monday.
Churchill Brothers SC will now take on Salcete FC in the group decider with the winners advancing to the main tournament.
Churchill Brothers SC had eight different scorers wherein Dalwin Coelho managed to score a brace.
Shayne Afonso, Praveen K, S. Gaunkar, Nastel Desouza, Ismail Shaikh, Jaeden Diniz, and Dwayne Pereira were the other goal scorers for the winning side.
The scoreline might have been bigger but for some missed chances.
On Saturday, Salcete FC trounced Sarzora Sports Club 9-1.
Aryan Carvalho scored a splendid hat-trick for the Salcete team while Velito Rocha and Thomson Cardozo netted a brace each.
Omkar Gaunkar and Aeren Figueredo were the other Salcete FC players to get on to the scoresheet.
Gavon Sequira managed to pull a goal back for the losing side.
