MARGAO: Churchill Alemao lashed out at the idea of postponing the upcoming GFA presidential election due to the implemention of the National Sports Code.
Speaking at a press conference, the Benaulim constituency MLA said, “I was approached by clubs to stand for the GFA elections as they believed that the association is not functioning accordingly.”
Churchill hit out at GFA for coming up with thier own schemes. “If the National Sports Code was to be implemented, there is should have been written evidence about the same. All the clubs should have been informed about this. It is a made up excuse to not have the elections.”
