Cobra Vaddo enter finals

Cobra Vaddo got the better of Umtta Vaddo 4-3 via the tie-breaker to seal a place in the finals of Gaura Vaddo inter-ward football tournament at Calangute Association ground, Calangute on Thursday.
In a keenly contested match, the teams had an equal number of scoring opportunities but failed to score.  Umtta Vaddo had a golden opportunity to forge ahead in the closing stages of the first half but Cobra Vaddo keeper Rowen was equal to the task.
Changing over, Cobra Vaddo dominated the proceedings in the initial period of second half but failed to beat Umtta Vaddo keeper Marshal a couple of times.  Umtta Vaddo keeper Marshal also affected a diving save in the 15th minute to deny Cobra Vaddo a sure goal.
Ashley, Munna, Lester and Mauvin converted for Cobra Vaddo while Ken, Domnick and Marshal were on target for Umtta Vaddo in the tie-breaker.
