Dempo SC dominated the entire match but the failed to convert their chances and were punished by the stubborn Signals side.
Both teams started on the front foot but it was Cyril Dias who opened the account for Corps of Signals in the 17th minute.
Corps of Signals doubled the lead in the 24th minute through Ramengmawia.
The second half saw both teams trying to score goals but Signals defended well till the final whistle.
Vineet Bugde of Dempo SC had a chance early in the 47th minute but his shot was saved by the Signals goalkeeper. Two minutes later, Dempo’s Nestor Dias squandered another chance to get back into the game as he shot wide from the goal mouth.
In the dying minutes of the match, Dempo’s Aaron Rodrigues failed to connect Assumption Soares cross from the left side.
