CHANDOR: Costa Cruise got the better of Assolda 6-4 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the15th All Goa Seamen football tournament, organised by Villa Marex Boys, Chandor and played at Villa Marex ground, Chandor, on Thursday.
Both the teams played a brilliant brand of attacking football with Assolda taking the lead in the 6th minute through Frezer. Thereafter it was all attacks and counter attacks from both the sides. In the second half Costa Cruise brought more pressure on Assolda defence which gave them the result in the 50th minute as they levelled terms through Delish.
In the tie-breaker Costa cruise netted through Delish, Anthony, Joley, Succor and Milagres and for Assolda Frezer, Diogo and Benson scored.
Costa Cruise will meet Kumunda Boys in the quarter-final on September 14.
