CRCC edge past Curtorim Gym

MARGAO, AUG 12
CRCC beat Curtorim Gymkhana 6-4 via the tie-breaker to storm into the finals of All-Goa Chinchinim-Deussua Panchayat Cup inter-village football  tournament organised by CRCC at church ground, Chinchinim  on Thursday.  CRCC led  2-1 at half time.
CRCC ‘s striker Ryan Fernandes opened the account. Later, he scored again.
Curtorim Gymkhana’s striker Roy Colaco reduced the margin with a stiff grounder.
After the change ends, Curtorim Gymkhana  equalised through Savio Fernandes.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Noel Leitao, Domingos Rebello, Piedade Rebello and Ryan Fernandes were on target for the winners while Savio Fernandes and Joao Fernandes converted for  Curtorim Gymkhana.
CRCC will now meet Enfermos Sports Club in the finals on August 15.
Ryan Fernandes of CRCC was adjudged man-of-the match. He received the award from chief guest, Prabhakar G Bharatkar, Sr Manager, Bank of India,Chinchinim Branch.
