MARGAO: CRSC Navelim, Marina HS Verna, Fr Agnel HS Pilar, Blessed Joseph Vaz Sancoale, Loyola HS, Our Lady of Snows Raia, Cortalim Gymkhana and Ave Maria qualified for the quarter-finals of under-13 festival football tournament organized by Salgaocar FC and Salcete FC at Nehru Stadium outside ground, Fatorda.
Results — Group A: Marina 1 (Godwin) drew with Auxilium HS, Taleigao 1 (Vivek); CRSC 2 (Traves, Jason) defeated Just for Kix, Vasco 0; Marina 0 lost to CRSC 2 (Aaron, Traves); Just for Kix 3 (Maneesh, Avesh [2]) defeated Auxilium 1 (Omkar); Marina 1 (Romario) defeated Just for Kix, Vasco 0; CRSC 3 (Aaron, Ronaldo 2) defeated Auxilium 1 (Vivek).
Group B: Bresourses, Betalbatim 1 (Max) drew with Blessed Joseph 1 (Mackwin); Fr Agnel HS Pilar 0 lost to Fr Agnel Multipurpose HS, Verna 1 (Parry); Bresources 0 drew with Fr Agnel Multipurpose HS, Verna, 0; Fr Agnel, Pilar 1 (Austin) defeated Blessed Joseph 0; Fr Agnel, Verna 1 (Edward) defeated Blessed Joseph Vaz 0; Fr Agnel, Pilar 2 (Elder, Borris) defeated Bresources 0.
Group C: Our Lady of Snows 1 (Roland) drew with Sirlim SC, 1 (Denson); Loyola 3 (Samward, Sydroy, Anthony) defeated Youth Futsal Academy 2 (Anthony, Ashren); Loyola 3 (Anthony, Samward, Johen) defeated Our Lady of Snows 1 (Roland); Loyola 1 (Sidroy) defeated Sirlim SC 0; Youth Futsal Academy 2 (Dhruv [2]) defeated Sirlim SC 1 (Shambu); Our Lady of Snows 3 (Roland, Abby, Josico) defeated Youth Futsal Academy 2 (Ashron 2).
Group D: Ave Maria 1 (Claftan) lost to Cortalim Gymkhana 3 (Presly, Peleston, Rayvan); Ponda Footballers 1 (Rudush) drew with The Kings School 1 (Avinash); Ave Maria 2 (Samuel, Manfred) defeated The Kings School 0; Cortalim Gymkhana 0 drew with Ponda Footballers 0; Cortalim Gymkhana 2 (Feviston [2]) defeated The Kings School 1 (Roque); Ponda Footballers 1 (Tekraj) drew with Ave Maria 1 (Samuel).
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Brahmanand Shankwalkar, Arjuna Awardee and Salcete FC chairman. Meven Barretto from The Kings School, Sao Jose de Areal, won the Canara Bank Bulls eye football shooting contest.
The tournament is being supported by Bank of India, Canara Bank and Syndicate Bank.
