PANJIM: Cuncolim Union beat CSM Taleigao 4-0 in the GENO First Division league organised by Goa Football Association (GFA), played at Fatorda Turf, on Monday.
Neceil Pinto scored the first goal in the 4th minute. In the second half, Schalie Cardozo doubled the team’s lead in the 53rd minute with a neat finish. Naved Almeida made it 3-0 five minutes later as the Taleigao side failed to move up ahead and create potent chances.
Sangam Gaokar added another goal for his side to make it 4-0 at the hour mark as the Cuncolim side demolished the Taleigao team.
In another game held at Ambelim ground, Clifton Barbosa’s lone goal in the 15th minute helped Curtorim Gymkhana edge past Dempo SC (jrs).
