PANJIM: Cuncolim Educational Society (CES), Cuncolim and Mallikarjun College, Canacona won the inter-collegiate Goa University kho kho championship for men and women respectively, at sports complex, Fatorda, recently.
CES, Cuncolim won the match comfortably 19- 4 against St Xavier college, Mapusa in the men’s final. Earlier, in the semi-final, St Xavier defeated Damodar College, Margao 11–3 and CES defeated Dempo College, Altinho 17-2.
The women’s final was a close contest between Mallikarjun and Government College, Quepem wherein Canacona won 4–2.
In the semi-final, Malliakrjun college beat Rosary college, Navelim 16–1 and Government College, Quepem defeated Zantye College, Bicholim 9-2.
Dr Laximan Naik, Principal of CES was the chief guest and gave away the medals and trophies to the players.
