RAIA: Cuncolim Union scored a narrow 1-0 win over Calangute Association to move into the quarter-finals of the FC Raia Cup football tournament organised by FC Raia, at Raia ground, on Saturday.
Both the teams played an aggressive match and tried to score in order to get into the round of the final eight. however goal in the early quarter of the match by Cuncolim Union by Rosario Carvalho in the 17th minute was the match winner.
Calangute could not finf the breakthrough till the end of regulation time.
Cuncolim Union will meet the winners of Raia Football Club and Margao SC in the quarter-finals on May 25.
