RAIA: Cuncolim Union defeated United Club Telaulim 5-3 via tie-breaker to enter the semi-final of UCT Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by United Club of Telaulim at school playground, Telaulim, on Monday. The match started on fast pace and both teams showed urgency in taking the lead but the United Club Telaulim scored the first goal in the 37th minute of the game through the efforts of Sadney Costa, while Cuncolim Union had to wait till the 68th minute to equalise through Shivam Velip.
At the end of the regulation time, both teams settled in 1-1 draw to decide the result by the penalty shoot-out.

In resultant tie-breaker, Cuncolim Union netted through Wilson, Jolleyton, Methew and Virat, while for United Club Telaulim, Frendon and Sadney Costa were on target.
Albert Mascarenhas, executive member of United Club Telaulim, gave the man-of-match award to Wilson of Cuncolim Union.
