Cuncolim Union led 1-0 at the breather.
Backed by vociferous home crowd, Cuncolim Union started the game on positive note and troubled the rival defence with well orchestrated raids.
Persistent forays paid off the dividends and in the 24th minute Frazier Fernandes slotted past the rival goalkeeper Leo Colaco with snap shot off pass from Myron Fernandes pass.
Stung by the early reversal, Raia Sporting Club intensified their attacks and Striker Llyod Cardozo tried his best and fired couple of pot shots against the rival goal however Cuncolim Union goalkeeper thwarted rival attacks.
Midway in the opening session, Raia Sporting Club had a chance to neutralize the lead but Llyod Cardozo’s rasping shot missed the target narrowly.
Cuncolim Union started the second session with whirl wind fashion and their forwards harassed the rival defenders with sharp raids.
Cuncolim Union increased the lead in the 39th minute when striker Myron Fernandes picked up the ball from Traven Dias and the former unleashed a stiff shot which crashed into the nets.
At the other end it was big blow for the Raia lads who were disappointed to concede early goals.
In the 50th minute, defender Traven Dias put the issue beyond doubt when he punished the rival goalkeeper with neat finish off a through pass from Dipak Velip.
Even though it seemed like there was not much hope left, Raia Sc were still putting a lot of energy into the game and pressed the forwards in search of a goal and in the 68th minute, Llyod Cardozo managed to score the consolation goal.
Myron Fernandes who played a pivotal role for Cuncolim Union was adjudged man-of-the-match.
