ASSOLDA: Curtorim Gymkhana defeated Tilamola United SC 3-1 in the final to emerge champions of the St Anthony Festival Cup, played at Assolda ground, on Sunday.
Curtorim Gymkhana netted the first goal of the match through Milagries Fernandes in the 20th minute. Within fifteen minutes, Joywin Carneiro doubled the lead for Curtorim and James Fernandes netted the third in the 50th.minute.
Aliston Costa pulled a goal back for Tilamola United Sports Club in the 55th minute.
Fr Ulaldino Fernandes was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to winners and runners up in the presence of other dignitaries and club officials.
