Curtorim Gymkhana overcame St Anthony’s Sporting Club, Colva 3-1 to march into the quarter-finals of All-Goa Cuncolim Union trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Cuncolim Union at school ground, on Tuesday. The teams were tied 1-1 at half time.
Curtorim went into the lead in the very 9th minute through Jose Fernandes.
Stung by the setback, St Anthony regrouped and equalised though Ryan Fernandes.
In the second session, Diego doubled the lead for Curtorim.
Sertorio Monteiro put the issue beyond doubt when he slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a snap shot.
