PANJIM: Damodar English High School, Gudi-Paroda won the South Goa District U-17 boys hockey title organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at the SAG Sports Complex, Fatorda, recently.
In the final, Damodar English High School pipped St Rita’s High School, Maina-Curtorim by a solitary goal.
The all-important goal of the match was scored in the 15th minute of the second session by Manjunath Gaonkar with a superb reverse hit.
The team was coached by Headmaster Norbert Fernandes and assisted by PE teacher Eknath Marathe.
