MARGAO: Dando Boys, Colva grounded Mandopa Sports Club 4-2 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of the 6th Cuncolim Union Trophy, organized by Cuncolim Union in association with Santa Cruz Club Cavelossim, at Cuncolim ground, on Monday. There was no score at the end of the regulation time.
Dando Boys showed urgency to score in the initial stages. Jovisco Fernandes received a pass from Romario Fernandes but the formers powerful grounder was blocked by a rival defender.
Thereafter, Mandopa SC had an opportunity in the 18th minute through Avlon Gomes, who shot straight into the hands of the rival keeper.
Post resumption, the teams provided end-to-end action but failed to score.
In the tie-breaker, Dando Boys scored through Romario Fernandes, James Fernandes, John Fernandes and Daniel Colaco while Mandopa SC converted through Jaison Pereira and Anthony Pereira.
